Laila Bondi, MUP, MPH, brings to the table her extensive experience in non-profit management, as well is a commitment to organizational change and collaborative leadership. Previously, Laila was the Associate Director of the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Training (NCCPHT), housed within the National Network of Public Health Institutes, where she focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of several education/training initiatives designed to build capacity of the current public health workforce across state, local, and tribal organizations. Prior to working at NNPHI, Laila was the Assistant Director at the Center for Gulf Coast Environmental Health Research, Leadership and Strategic Initiatives at Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Laila has trained community health workers, coordinated county-wide systems for funding homeless housing programs and created holistic service plans for patients with HIV/AIDS. Her broad range of interests and areas of expertise, combined with a community focus and a global outlook, inform every aspect of her work. Laila has a Master of Urban Planning from the State University of New York, a Master of Public Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and an undergraduate degree in Spanish from Tulane University. She is a seasoned world traveler, voracious reader and you can catch her dancing in the streets with New Orleans’ only Latin dance group, Ritmeaux Krewe.
